Ryan Whitten, Culinary Director, Bold Catering & Design
Ryan is a graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta. After graduation Ryan spent 10 years with Fifth Group Restaurants. He spent time as the senior event chef for Bold American catering before moving on to manage kitchens at Food Studio, South City Kitchen, La Tavola Trattoria, and Ecco Midtown.
He then moved on to corporate dining joining Restaurant Associates, at Turner Broadcasting. He successfully led the team through a major dining renovation, reopening The Market, a food hall style dining facility.
Ryan became the Campus Executive Chef for Coca Cola World Headquarters in August of 2019.
Ryan rejoined the Bold American Catering Family as Director of Culinary in January 2024.
Ryan has been featured in both the Atlanta Journal Constitution and on the HLN Network for his dedication to reducing food waste. He has worked closely with Atlanta area organization such as Second Helping and Goodr, ensuring that useable excess food goes to those in need instead of landfill. In 2017, Ryan received the “Do-Goodr” award for rescuing over 11,000 meals from going to landfill.
Spending time with his young family, hiking, cooking over an open fire, and playing music with his dad band, Wesley & the Ridge Riders are his favorite ways to focus his energy outside of work.
