Saigon, Vietnam. The sights, sounds, smells and tastes left a strong impression on Chef Thach growing up, and it was in this exotic environment that his love affair with food began. It was also in his family that this love deepened. His grandmother taught him to appreciate food and understand it fully as more than nourishment, but a way of life. Chef Thach moved with his family to America at the age of nine, and the convenience foods he primarily experienced left him disappointed. He began studying the methods of Western cooking by watching Alton Brown's technically-driven Food Network shows. After graduating from the culinary program at Johnson & Wales University, he worked in some of Denver's top restaurants, catering companies, and hotels since 2006. In April of 2024 Chef Thach became the Executive Chef of Denver's Best Catering Company and joined the Footers Catering family. The lively, high-energy group perfectly complements Chef Thach's creative, interactive, and authentically inspired culinary creations. It is here at Footers that Thach has the opportunity to share his love, passion and experience cooking Global Cuisine with the greater dining community.
