Sean Dent, General Manager, Local LA Catering by David Lefevre
Sean Dent’s culinary and hospitality industry career spans more than 35 years and includes working experience at five-star hotels & restaurants, private city clubs, cruise lines, catering, private chef and consulting all around the world.
Likewise, Sean’s education and professional training is global, starting with Ryde TAFE in Sydney, Australia, followed by Johnson & Wales and Nova Southeastern Universities in Florida, as well an apprenticeship under some of the world’s most iconic industry leaders.
Sean's last position in his homeland, Australia, was at BANC / Wine Banc restaurants as a sous chef under Liam Tomlin. He worked for the Movenpick Hotel Company in Zurich Switzerland and the Carnival Cruise Lines, Captain Cook Australia / Fiji.
Since relocating to Los Angeles in 1999, some of Sean’s most notable assignments were as the Executive Chef at Drago Culinary Productions, Executive Chef at CIRCA 55 Restaurant in the Beverly Hilton, Executive chef Citrus Restaurant by Michael Richard, Sous chef to Ludo Lefebvre @ L’Orangerie and now as the General Manager for Legends Hospitality overseeing Local LA Catering by David Lefevre.
Sean gives back to the hospitality community through his membership as a board member in the Los Angeles chapter of the Chaine de Rôtisseurs also as a judge young chef and as a member of the Culinary Program Advisory Committee for the Los Angeles Hospitality Education Center.
